Job Description for Miss Missouri

             Miss Missouri is an attractive young woman with a confident, comfortable and commanding presence.  She is an intelligent, talented individual who takes personal pride in her physical appearance and health.  She is an articulate, independent, and eloquent communicator with the courage of her convictions.  She is a proven achiever.  She is a role model who inspires others and relates well to young people.  She is energetic, charismatic, compassionate and outgoing.  She is cooperative, flexible and punctual.  She is an ambassador and public relations representative of the Miss Missouri/Miss American Organization(s) and for her chosen platform.

 

Eligibility Requirements

 

            To compete in the Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant, a contestant must first win a local pageant.  In 2005, there were 36 local pageants held throughout the state.  Every local pageant has specific geographic eligibility requirements, based on where you live, attend school full-time or work full-time, however, all pageants share the same general eligibility requirements.  All contestants must be:

 

·        A resident of Missouri for at least six months prior to the local competition;

·        A High School graduate by June 30, 2005 or must have successfully completed the G.E.D. testing program by June 30, 2005 ;

·        No younger than 17 at the time of the local competition;

·        No older than 24 by October 31, 2005 ;

·        A female, and have never been married or pregnant;

·        U.S. Citizen;

·        Registered as a full-time student within the local franchise area of the pageant she wishes to enter OR employed full-time (minimum 32 hours per week) within the franchise area of the pageant she wishes to enter for at least 6 months prior to the local competition OR employed part-time (minimum 16 hours per week) and attend school part-time (minimum 6 hours per week).

 

Entrants must maintain the basis upon which she claims eligibility throughout the local and state competition.
