Being chosen to represent the state as Miss Missouri 2000 is an honor and a privilege. I am humbled as I recall how incredible every contestant was, and I am proud to be a part of this unique system. It is one that places its focus on community service and education. What each woman stands for is valued, and she is encouraged to strive to reach her potential.
I am looking forward to traveling around the state, inspiring and motivating communities and individuals to become involved in mentoring, in personally connecting with someone. I believe storytelling is a very powerful element. My story is an example of the importance of connection, and I wish to share it. In doing this, I hope to encourage everyone to embrace life as it was meant to be lived, as a journey of the heart.
