MEXICO, Mo., June 8, 2005 - A singer and a dancer tied as the preliminary talent winners during the first night of competition at the Miss Missouri Pageant in Mexico, Mo., this evening. Miss Sikeston, Brandi Harris, 24, and Miss Gateway St. Louis Sandra Struthers, 21, were named the winners in the talent portion of the contest.

Miss River City, Amber Watson, 22, was the winner in the swimsuit preliminary contest. Harris performed "Hurt so Bad." Struthers performed a lyrical dance to "Via Dolorosa."

There are 36 young women vying for this year's Miss Missouri crown at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico. They are competing for more than $23,000 in scholarships and the opportunity to represent the Show Me State in the Miss America Pageant.

MEXICO, Mo., June 9, 2005 - For the second night in a row, there was a tie in the Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant preliminary competition.
Judges chose both Miss Ray County Amy Banks and Miss Jackson Breanne Walton as the winners in the preliminary talent contest. Miss Mid-Mo Christina Icaza was named the winner in the preliminary swimsuit competition.

There are 36 young women vying for this year's Miss Missouri crown at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico. They are competing for more than $23,000 in scholarships and the opportunity to represent the Show- Me state at the Miss America Pageant.
The contestants compete in three nights of preliminary competitions and individually met with the judges during interviews. The 10 contestants with the highest cumulative scores move on to compete in the final night of the pageant tomorrow.

MEXICO, Mo., June 10, 2005- Miss Gateway to the West Caitlin McIntosh was named the winner in Friday night's Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant preliminary swimsuit competition while Miss Malden Jamie Moran won the preliminary talent contest.

There are 36 young women vying for this year's Miss Missouri crown.
They are competing for more than $23,000 in scholarships and the opportunity to represent the Show-Me state at the Miss America Pageant.


Prior to the Friday night awards, another Thursday night competition talent winner was recognized, Staci Cooley, Miss Columbia. An audit of the scores after the competition revealed the oversight, and Miss Columbia received a $100 scholarship.
